You are welcome to pack your own boxes. It will save you money and you will know exactly how each item fit. You can review our packing guide for time saving tips on packing. For some basic advice follow these easy and short steps to ensure that everything goes smooth:
1. Leave no space in the boxes. If the items have space in between or on top, they will move and will almost undoubtedly suffer damages.
2. Do not over pack boxes. We understand that this is counterintuitive and most people want to stuff the boxes until they can barely close, but the if the top of the box is overflowing then the box loses strength in that area that might result in less than adequate results.
3. Layer your items, you can always layer or nest fragile items in between loose clothing or towels. Do not do this with linens or other tightly stored items as they are heavy and dense if packed in original plastic and can result in damages.
When you are shipping things, whether your sending things to your loved ones or for yourself there are some important guidelines to keep in mind. Here is a list of the items that you are not allowed to ship:
