Custom Regulations:

  • Used Personal Effect items are duty-free if owned for more than six months and you are moving your primary or habitual residence to France.
  • Students: If you are going to study to France, then they are also duty free but we would need an official attestation of attendance and your items need to be shipped within 1 month of your school’s registration date.


Documents Required:

  • Passport.
  • Original Visa/Residence/Work Permit if any.
  • Certificate of Change of Residence gotten form the French Embassy/Consulate stating time lived abroad.
  • Signed statement by customer certifying that has owned all items at least six months and has lived abroad for at least 1 year.
  • Any works of art must come with a certificate of authenticity!
  • Inventory must indicate detailed contents even of cartons.
  • New Electrical appliances need to be listed separately with serial number invoice and brand name.


Prohibited items:

  • Paint
  • Cleaning Solvent
  • Pornographic Material
  • Firearms/Explosives/Ammunition
  • Drugs / Narcotics
  • Live Plants
  • Animal Skin/Ivory/Protected animal products
